This hasn’t been 100% confirmed, but I’m not sure why someone would start this rumor if it wasn’t true. In my opinion, this is an awesome move on Apple’s part…leave it to Steve Jobs to find yet another completely untapped, hungry market…kids! The possibilities are endless as far as new kid friendly apps and games go, so we’ll just have to see how this all pans out! Kids will love the Ipad, which at it’s very core is as kid friendly as an electronic device can get.

For one thing, the wifi connectivity has been fixed and it’s oh so wonderfully sensitive…I get twice as many signals on this thing as I do on my desktop computer (It’s a PC). The newer dual-core processor on the ipad 2 along with it’s expanded RAM seems to have helped to stabilize apps a lot more than on the Ipad 1. I haven’t had anything crash on me since I got it, and according to most folks neither have they. Kudos to Apple, seems like this gadget wasn’t rushed out the door like the Ipad 1!

Everybody Wins!  Apple has officially made that man and all of his friends a convert for life.

The smartcover truly wouldn’t be an apple product if it didn’t come in a variety of colors.  Not only that, but you can spend a little bit more and get the super swanky leather smartcover!  The cover doubles as a stand so you can tilt your new Ipad up an an angle while working or watching movies.

  1. It’s brand new.  I mean, why would someone settle for an old Iphone now when they can have the vastly improved Iphone 4?  The same thought and research that apple uses when it updates it’s products to new generations will go into the Ipad 2 as well.
  2. It’s thinner, lighter and faster.  I know I’ve already mentioned this in my previous posts, but the Ipad 2 will have a dual core processor in it, as well as double the ram of the first generation Ipad.  It is almost half as thick which should make it lighter too.  For something that is the same price as the original, I consider myself lucky that I didn’t buy one of these things last year when they first came out.
  3. Amazing value for the money.  At only $499 for the 16 gb model, the Ipad 2 is something of immense value considering what it can do.  For that price, a person can barely get their hands on a middle of the road PC netbook much less a macbook pro.  Jump on this now before apple smartens up and hikes their prices!

  • 1.2GHz Dualcore A5 – This is a significant upgrade to the processor of the first generation Ipad.  The dual core processor will improve nearly every aspect of this device, including graphics performance, multitasking capability, web surfing speed and video playback.  And you’ll be able to play the latest games without the thing hiccuping.
  • 512mb RAM – The new Ipad 2 will have double the amount of RAM of it’s predecessor which will, like the improved cpu, improve almost every aspect for the user.
  • The Newest iOS, version 4.3 – A new and even more stable version of the Ipad’s operating system will be onboard the Ipad 2
  • Slimmer Design – Ok, I know this has been mentioned already, but this is pretty amazing.  The first generation Ipad is about 13mm thick.  Most rumors comfirm that the new Ipad 2 is going to be a mere 8mm thick.  That is almost cut in half.
